Shri Kumar Naganathan Sivachariar known as Priest Kumar Gurukkal, hails from Adhi Saiva Parampara (Sundaramoorthy Nayanmar). Priest Kumar Gurukkal recalls atleast seven generation of Sivachariyar that served in Sethur Shri Maragathavalli Sandrasekara Swami which is about 56 miles from temple city, Madurai. The temple is one of the 108 temples of the Sivagangai Samasthanam trust. Priest Kumar Gurukkal is inspired by the great saivite Saint Sundaramoorthy Swamigal. He had specialized study in Agora Bathathi section of Karana and Kamiya Agamas (Yajur veda) under his spiritual guru Shri Pitchai Sivachariyar in Shri Karpaga Vinayaka Vedagama Vidhyalaya located at Pillayarpatti, Tamil Nadu, India. The vision of Saint Sundarar is to spread the fragrance of saiva religion throughout the world has led him first to Shri Dharma Muneeswaran Temple in Singapore and then to Shri Murugan Temple in Washington D.C, USA and to The Hindu Temple of Greater Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA. |
